Interaction between Swiss fans and the international Robocup initiative has been made several times, particularly since 2003.
Notably, in 2008 in Suzhou a presentation has been made to Robocup Federation, with announced cooperation of four delegates:
Jean-Daniel Dessimoz, Robot-CH association,
Jacques Bally, Y-Parc SA,
Olivier Michel, Cyberbotics S.à r.l.
Brad Nelson, ETH-Zurich
Between 1998 and 2005 there has been an unfortunate clash of names, since at the same time the keyword "Robocup" was used in Switzerland to describe a national initiative, which was mostly in connection with the Eurobot competition; today, for this context, the appropriate keyword is "SwissEurobot".
